Extras

 

Following the success of The Office, the Gervais-Merchant team were at it again with Extras.

Ricky Gervais plays Andy Millman, who is really an actor but has to get by doing extra work. He's a man in search of a line. He's not helped by having a hopeless agent - played by Merchant. As well as seeing Andy on sets, on Extras we also get to meet his friend Maggie - played by Ashley Jensen - who tends to put her foot in it at crucial moments.

In the second series, Andy has managed to sell a sitcom to the BBC and he stars in it.
